Meet Our Doctor

Hello, my name is Madelynn Mayes, and I have been a veterinarian since graduating from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. I started my career as a rural mixed animal practitioner and then transitioned to small animal-only practice in 2012. In school, I was one of the lucky 40 who were able to take an online dental course and wet lab, which sparked my interest in dentistry.

After graduating, I have been fortunate to work in clinics with a strong appreciation for dentistry, which allowed me to further develop my passion for it. I have nurtured this passion by completing numerous advanced dental training courses with specialists across the country. These training sessions have improved my technique and proficiency in all areas of general and some advanced dental care. I truly believe a healthy, pain-free mouth helps our pets live longer, healthier lives and promotes a stronger human-animal bond. This lead me to open Elevated Pet Dentistry in 2023.

Originally from Montana, I moved to Spokane in 2018 with my husband; we now have two sons and one English Shepherd. They really keep us on our toes. When not working, I can usually be found taking the boys for hikes, at soccer practice or working in the garden.
